Linkage Broken Error

The error message:

              
                
                  NOTFCBFCB, FCB Linkage Broken Fatal System Bugcheck 
                
              
            

means the OpenVMS software detected an irrecoverable or inconsistent condition. After all physical memory is written to a system dump file, the system will automatically reboot if the BUGREBOOT system parameter is set to 1.

Contact Digital immediately. Submit a Software Performance Report (SPR) to Digital that describes the condition leading to the error, and include a BACKUP save set containing the system dump file and the error log file active at the time of the error. (Use the /IGNORE=NOBACKUP qualifier on the BACKUP command that produces the save set included with the SPR.)

Although it may be true that Diskeeper was the only thing running, or that Diskeeper was the last process executed when the system crashed, we have worked with Digital on this. Digital has requested that if a customer reports this situation to contact them immediately.
