Can I run Analyze/Disk/Repair while Diskeeper is active?

I have many "lost" files in [SYSLOST]

Analyze/Disk/Repair should not be run while anything may be writing to the disk, or when you do not have full privileges. If you do so, you may lose many files. If this should ever happen, you can recover by first making sure you have full privileges, then typing

 

              
                
                  $ SET FILE/NODIRECTORY [000000]SYSLOST.DIR 
                
              
            

 

and then running Analyze/Disk/Repair again. This way VERIFY (which is the utility invoked by Analyze/Disk/Repair ) will fix the files, based on their internal directory backlinks and truly lost files won't be fixed.

We have done this, and it has worked and it has been verified by Digital.
