Why should I set up foreign commands?
Because it makes it easier to use the commands. Instead of typing:
$ RUN SYS$SYSDEVICE:[ESICM.DISKEEPER]DISK_ANALYSIS.EXE
you can type:
$ FAU
While some of the programs will allow you to add qualifiers without setting up the foreign command, by using a foreign command in all instances, you can be certain that the product will operate as the
User's Guide
indicates.
