I did a SHOW PROCESS and could not find Diskeeper
A Diskeeper job is not a process and is not expected to appear when you enter SHOW PROCESS at the DCL prompt. To see the status of Diskeeper jobs, enter DK JOB to access the Diskeeper Job Control menu, then enter ALL_JOBS for a status display of all jobs that have been defined.
When a job is in a READY state, it is assigned to a server process, then changes to a RUN state. Then, and only then, does SHOW SYSTEM indicate a process, but it is not a Diskeeper process, it is a DKDFG server process.
DKDFG servers are provided by Control Master to service Diskeeper jobs, one at a time. When a job run is completed, another READY job may be assigned to the same server process. When there are no more jobs in a READY state, the server process terminates.
DKDFG servers processes come and go, as needed, to run Diskeeper jobs in a RUN state.
