How does Diskeeper decide when to work?

When AUTO-RUN is specified as the scheduling option, Diskeeper automatically determines the optimum run frequency. It does this by going into a WAIT state between sets of multiple defragmentation passes and keeping track of how many files it has to move each time it runs. When the number of files moved in a set of passes increases, Diskeeper runs more frequently. When the number of files moved decreases, Diskeeper runs less often.
