What happens if the system crashes?
Diskeeper jobs will survive Control Master shutdowns and most system crashes. To automatically restart your Diskeeper jobs, include a command in your SYSTARTUP command file to start Control Master. Control Master will start Diskeeper and provide available servers for jobs scheduled to run at that time. See the Diskeeper Manual, Chapter 8, CONTROL MASTER, for information about Control Master startup.
The worst that can happen, if the machine crashes, is that some empty disk blocks may end up marked allocated when they are not really part of any file. See Section 2.28.2 of the Diskeeper Manual for further details.
