When I run the FAU, I see the same figure for Split I/Os on two disks. Why is it the same?

Why is the Split I/O count so high when Diskeeper has finished defragmenting?

The Split I/Os figure is system-wide, not just for the disk on which the FAU is currently running. It is the total count of split I/Os which have occurred on the system since it was booted. To get an accurate count of split I/Os currently occurring, run the FAU and note the number of split I/Os, then wait an hour or a day, then run the FAU again. The difference between the new and old split I/O counts is the number of split I/Os which occured during that time period.
