Diskeeper 3.0 or 4.0 upgrade does nothing when I try to run the scheduler
Diskeeper 3.0 and 4.0 use a different format from Diskeeper 2.0 to store the schedule data. If this data does is not converted properly during the upgrade, the schedule feature will not work.
To correct this, close the Diskeeper window if it is open. Then go to Control Panel / Services. If the Diskeeper Serviec is running highlight it and click on Stop. Then go to the folder
ExecSoft\Diskeep\Defrag
and delete the file
Diskeep.ctl
. Launch Diskeeper from the Start menu.
Diskeeper will restart the Automatic service and create a new diskeep.ctl file in the new format and the scheduler will now work.
