ScanFAT or ScanNTFS application errors
Diskeeper detects a pointer that may be invalid, and aborts to avoid any chance of corrupting data. The application error usually occurs if, while Diskeeper is running, there are a lot of new files being created, and few or none being deleted. Diskeeper loses track, apparently from a buffer overflow.
The current Diskeeper 2.0 upgrade (2.0.137) corrects most occurrences of these errors, and improves the partial defragmenting, with greater efficiency on partitions with little free space. It is a free download.
